Cosmetic and Family Dentistry

Most important to oral hygiene are routine checkups. At your scheduled cleaning, Dr. Downie will perform a thorough cleaning, oral exams, and x-rays when necessary. She will discuss how you can improve your at-home oral hygiene, spot any issues early on in their development, and advise on any cosmetic services you may be interested in.

There are many treatment options for available for patients to improve their smiles at any age. At your dental examination, Dr. Downie can ensure that your concerns are cosmetic problems, as opposed to a sign of underlying dental disease.

How often should I come in for my dental checkup?

Many people visit the dentist’s office only when something is bothering them. While we are happy to treat patients of all backgrounds, it’s important to visit the dentist regularly—once or twice per year—to take advantage of preventative services that will save you cost and pain later on.

With regular dental visits, oral health problems such as tooth decay or even oral cancer can be detected and treated early on, before they become worse. Depending on a patient’s unique plaque buildup or gum health, certain maintenance may be more frequently necessary than others.

How can I improve my smile with cosmetic procedures?

I love adding to patients’ confidence with a smile they feel good about through my cosmetic treatments. We offer cosmetic bonding and veneers to help fix and cover flaws on your teeth, and Zoom Teeth Whitening. Call the office to find out how we can reinvigorate your smile and entire mouth.

I recommend that patients interested in cosmetic procedures come prepared for their consultation: what specifically would you like to change about the color, shape, size, or spacing of your teeth? Together, we can discuss options to get you that perfect smile.
